C diff public inquiry and Ninewells : MSP seeks clarification
05 February 2010
Marlyn Glen is writing to First Minister Alex Salmond to clear up the
confusion between the comments of the Public Health Minister, Shona Robison and
the First Minister on the terms of reference of the inquiry
Ms. Glen said,
" The Public Health Minister is reported as saying that the terms of the inquiry
are solely a matter for its chair, Lord Maclean, and that he can decide how he
wishes to progress the inquiry.
"However, the First Minister indicated that Lord MacLean had said that the terms
of reference would not allow investigation of how the deaths at Ninewells had
occured.
"I am asking the First Minister for a definitive statement on the inquiry’s
terms of reference."
